Dr Arif Shaikh is Medical Director/PET at Kettering Network Radiologists, Inc. He is Director of Targeted Radionuclide Therapy who introduced advanced clinical dosimetry (pharmacodynamics and kinetics), Co-founded and led Multidisciplinary Thyroid and Endocrine Tumour Board and Developed Targeted Radionuclide Therapy Clinic. As Director of Cardiovascular Nuclear Imaging he Introduced advanced clinical imaging as routine standard of care. He has extensive teaching experience of trainees in multiple specialties: Nuclear Medicine, Radiology, Cardiology, Radiation Oncology, General Internal Medicine. He has extensive didactic teaching experience both locally at UNC, at national meetings / international venues. He remained part of graduate thesis committees and is involved in mentoring of post-doctorate students in the joint Schools of Biomedical Engineering at UNC and NC State University. He is Radiology Quality Assurance Officer for peer review activities.
Dr. Mouaz Al-Mallah is the Beverly B. and Daniel C. Arnold Distinguished Chair, the Director of cardiovascular PET and the Associate Director of Nuclear Cardiology at the Department of Cardiology, Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center. He is also Professor of Cardiology at the Houston Methodist Academic Institute Center. Dr Al-Mallah received his medical degree from the American University of Beirut, Lebanon. He completed his training at Henry Ford Hospital, Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, Brigham and Women’s Hospital - Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, and the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI. He is also the Immediate past President of American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC).
Dr. Al-Mallah established the cardiac PET service at Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center. This service utilizes the most recent digital PET and performs multiple PET procedures including PET for myocardial perfusion imaging, viability, assessment of inflammatory cardiomyopathy, detection of cardiac infections and cardiac devices related infections as well as vascular graft infections. He is a member of several American and European cardiovascular councils, while serving as an Associate Editor of Atherosclerosis and Cochrane reviews. He is also a member of the Editorial Boards of Journal of the American College of Cardiology, and European Heart Journal -cardiovascular imaging. Dr Al-Mallah received many local and international awards including Francis N. Fernandez Fellowship Award, King Abdullah International Medical Research Center award in 2011, Best teacher award from Henry Ford Hospital, Elite Reviewer for the year 2013 for the Journal of the American College of Cardiology Journals, King Abdullah International Medical Research Center senior researcher award in 2016 and best teacher award from Houston Methodist DeBakey heart and vascular center for 2019. In addition, many of his trainees have established academic careers and received multiple research awards while working under his supervision.
Professor Keon Wook Kang, MD, PhD, is a highly esteemed professor of Nuclear Medicine at Seoul National University, globally recognized for his profound expertise in molecular imaging and the therapeutic use of radiopharmaceuticals. He has over 250 publications and more than 8,000 citations (H-index = 51). Professor Kang has made significant contributions to the field, advancing both research and clinical applications.

Dr. Savvas Frangos is a nuclear medicine specialist working at the Nuclear Medicine Department and the Thyroid Cancer Clinic of the Bank of Cyprus Oncology Center in Nicosia, Cyprus. In 1996 he received the Board Certificate with specialization in Nuclear Medicine. He is a fellow of the European Board of Nuclear Medicine and for many years Member of the Fellowship Examination Committee. Professor brigadier retired doctor Fida Hussain Sitara i imtiaz military is currently Dean faculty of Nuclear medicine and CPSP. Did MBBS from Punjab medical college Faisalabad in 1989. Joined Pakistan army in 1991, did MSc Nuclear medicine in 1996 and FCPS Nuclear medicine 2004. He did on job training from UK in 2005. He completed professional diploma in diagnostic ultrasonography and diploma in health professional education. He is Co author and contributor of text book Maisy. Co-author in additional 5 books and more than 50 national and international research publications. He is the only PMDC approved professor of Nuclear medicine in the country. Professor has also served as VP of in the Executive Council PSNM (2019-2022).
Dr. Durr-e-Sabih is a graduate of the first batch of MSc nuclear medicine from the Centre for Nuclear Studies, now PIEAS in 1990, and has since then worked at the Multan Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Radiotherapy. He was the first elected President of the Pakistan Society of Nuclear Medine in 2002 and was the founding editor of the Pakistan Journal of Nuclear Medicine, that has now evolved into the Pakistan Journal of Nuclear Medicine and Imaging. He conceived of and established the fellowship of the Asian Nuclear Medicine Board. This provides a platform of international certification for nuclear medicine physicians from all over the world, but especially Asia. There are about 300 fellows who proudly display FANMB as their post nomials. The ninth exam of the board is being held in Seoul in early November 2023. He established the first Thalassemia screening program within the PAEC and invented a syringe holding device for which he has a patent. He collaborated with the IAEA on many projects and was also designated an IAEA expert. He was recognized by the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh with an FRCP and more recently a fellowship of the AIUM. Dr. Durr-e-Sabih has been a prolific author, with over 80 publications, dozens of chapters and four books to his credit. He is currently writing his 5th book. Dr Muhammad Numair Younis, is DCMO and consultant at Nuclear Medicine INMOL, Lahore. He is Co-founder of Younis-Bashir Award under American College of Nuclear Medicine. Dr. Subhani Okarvi is the acting chairman/senior medical scientist at the Cyclotron and Radiopharmaceuticals Department, King Faisal Specialist Hospital-Riyadh. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Science in Nuclear Medicine, an American and European Board certified Nuclear Pharmacist, and a Fellow of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Syed Ali Raza Naqvi is a Professor of Chemistry at Department of Chemistry, Government College University Faisalabad. He completed his graduation from Government College University Lahore and PhD from University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2009. During his PhD studies he joined the Molecular Imaging Lab of Prof. Stephen Mather at Bart & the London School of Medicine & Dentistry, UK. Dr. Tania JABBAR is a Principal Scientist at Punjab Institute of Nuclear Medicine, Faisalabad. She completed her graduation from University of the Punjab Lahore, MS in Chemistry from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad, and Doctoral study at Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, University of Vienna, Austria. Dr. Sajid Mushtaq is Associate Professor and Deputy Head of the Chemistry Department at Pakistan Instute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), Islamabad, where his leadership and innovative research have made a significant impact on the field of radiopharmaceuticals and radiation biotechnology. He holds an MSc in Chemistry from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, and further specialized in Radiation Physics, completing his MS at PIEAS under a government fellowship. He earned his PhD in Radiation Biotechnology and Applied Radioisotope Science from the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, Daejeon, South Korea in collaboration with the University of Science and Technology, Daejeon, South Korea, in 2019. He served as a postdoctoral fellow at the Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences (KIRAMS) in Seoul from 2023 to 2024. Since joining PIEAS in 2019, he has been at the forefront of developing advanced radiopharmaceuticals for Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography (SPECT) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging. He has been instrumental in advancing bio-conjugate reactions for therapeutic radiopharmaceutical development. His expertise extends to labeling biomolecules and cells using click chemistry, marking him a prominent researcher in both imaging and therapeutic innovations in the field of nuclear medicine.
Dr Ambreen Khawar, Msc Nuclear Medicine, MD/PhD Nuclear Medicine is working as Professor of Nuclear Medicine at Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nilore, Islamabad. She has several publications in international journals as well national and international conference presentations. She is an approved PhD supervisor for PhD Nuclear Medicine. Her major interests are in theranostics, dosimetric analysis and use of radiomics and AI in nuclear Medicine. She is supervisor and co supervisor of MS and PhD students at PIEAS.
Dr. Basit Iqbal did his MSc in NM in 2002 from PIEAS. In 2010 he proceeded to Charles Sturt University, Australia for his PhD in NM. Since then he has served at GINUM, Gujranwala and is now posted in INMOL, Lahore. He is a former VP of the PSNM. HE has 18 publications in various national and international journals.
Dr Sadaf Tufail Butt, Msc Nuclear Medicine, FCPS Diagnostic Radiology is working as consultant Radiologist in Radiology department of NORI. She currently participates in PET reporting as hybrid imaging consultant. She has several Nuclear medicine and radiology publications in national as well as international journals. She participated in various national and international conferences. Her major interests are in hybrid imaging, breast imaging and guided procedures.
Professor Maseeh uz Zaman, is a nuclear physician, having a wide experience of diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine and hybrid imaging as well. He is a Diplomate American Board of Nuclear Cardiology and has master’s degree in nuclear medicine. He has been awarded fellowships by College of Physician and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP), European Board of Nuclear Medicine (EBNM), American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) and Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh (RCP-Ed). Currently he has been heading Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT imaging services of Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi (AKUH-K) Pakistan.
