Prof Dr Hossein Jadvar (USA)
Prof. Dr. Hossein Jadvar is Professor of Radiology at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California (USC), with joint appointments in Radiation Oncology, Urology, and Biomedical Engineering. He is past president of both the ACNM and SNMMI and currently leads the SNMMI Therapy Center of Excellence. His extensive academic background includes degrees in engineering, medicine, public health, business, and law from top institutions such as Iowa State, Michigan, Harvard, and USC. Dr. Jadvar has authored over 260 peer-reviewed papers, four books, and holds several patents, with notable contributions in PET imaging, theranostics, and prostate cancer. He serves on editorial boards of major journals and chairs the U.S. NRC Advisory Committee on Medical Uses of Isotopes.
Professor John Buscombe (UK)
Prof Buscombe recently retired as a Specialist in Nuclear Medicine from the Cambridge University Hospitals. He has over 30 years experience in nuclear medicine, published over 250 scientific papers with over 9000 citations and has authored or edited 8 books. He has been involved in medical education being a module lead for the UK Nuclear Medicine MSc and examining for the FEBNM, PIEAS and the Hong Kong College of Radiology.
Dr Ahmed Aljizeeri (KSA)
Dr. Aljizeeri is an Assistant Professor of Cardiology at King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences and Consultant Cardiologist in advanced cardiac imaging at King Abdulaziz Cardiac Center. He is Chairman of the Cardiac Imaging Working Group of the Saudi Heart Association and Director of the Advanced Cardiac Imaging Fellowship Program. He completed cardiology training at the University of British Columbia, CMR at the University of Calgary, and echocardiography and nuclear cardiology at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. He holds multiple international board certifications and is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and the European Society of Cardiology.
Dr Munir Ghesani (USA)
Dr. Munir Ghesani, MD, FACNM, FACR, FSNMMI, is the Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer of United Theranostics, Princeton. With training in internal medicine, nuclear medicine, and diagnostic radiology, he previously served as Systems Chief of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging at Mount Sinai Health System, New York, and remains on the faculty at Icahn School of Medicine. Dr. Ghesani has over 25 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and education, with a focus on molecular imaging and targeted radiopharmaceutical therapy. He has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and is Editor-in-Chief of a comprehensive nuclear medicine textbook. Dr Erin Elizabeth Grady (USA)
Dr. Erin Grady, MD, CCD, FACNM, FSNMMI, is a nuclear medicine physician at Stanford Hospital and Clinics, California. She plays a vital national role in SNMMI, serving as Director-at-Large on the Board of Directors, chair of the Nuclear Medicine Program Directors, and co-chair of the Government Relations Committee. She is also involved with the General Nuclear Medicine Council and Coding and Reimbursement Committee. A former chair of the American Board of Nuclear Medicine, Dr. Grady has contributed to ACGME committees for Nuclear Medicine and Radiology. Her research interests include quality, education, and radiopharmaceutical therapy. Dr Obaidullah (Pak)
Dr. Obaidullah, Ph.D., MPH, is the Chief Executive Officer of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) with over 24 years of experience in pharmaceutical regulation. A pharmacist by training, he holds a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences and a Master's in Public Health. At DRAP, he has led key functions including clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, cGMP auditing, drug registration, and regulatory framework development. He has represented Pakistan at international forums such as WHO, USFDA, and AHWP, and contributed to WHO guideline drafting. He also serves as adjunct faculty, training regulators and industry professionals in CTD, GMP, and pharmaceutical policy.
Professor Maseeh uz Zaman (Pak)
Professor Maseeh uz Zaman is Dow 1987 graduate and has been practicing Nuclear Medicine since 1990. He is a fellow of CPSP, European Board of NM and Royal College of Physicians Edinburgh. He has more than 100 publications in his account and has been Editor of Pakistan Journal of Radiology since 2014 and currently is the Section Head of NM and PET/CT imaging services of Aga Khan University Karachi.
Dr Ahmad Qureshy (Pak)
Dr. Ahmad Qureshy is a senior Nuclear Medicine Physician with over three decades of experience. A graduate of King Edward Medical College (1988), he earned his Master’s in Nuclear Medicine from the Centre of Nuclear Studies (1992) and completed his Ph.D. from Tohoku University, Japan. He served the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) for 32 years, playing a pivotal role in introducing PET-CT technology in Pakistan, including the installation of the first public sector PET-CT scanner and cyclotron. He has contributed to similar projects nationwide in both public and private sectors. Dr. Qureshy is actively involved in academic training through PIEAS and CPSP. Dr Saima Muzahir (USA)
Dr. Saima Muzahir, MD, FCPS, FRCPE, is Associate Professor of Radiology and Enterprise Theranostics Lead in the Division of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging at Emory University Hospital, Atlanta. She is also Associate Program Director of Emory’s Molecular Imaging and Therapy Fellowship and Vice President of the Pakistan Society of Nuclear Medicine (PSNM). A graduate of Nishtar Medical College, she completed her Nuclear Medicine residency at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, a second residency at the University of Iowa, and a PET-CT fellowship at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Dr. Muzahir serves on the boards of SNMMI and ABNM, and leads the RAD-AID Pakistan program. Her research focuses on radioligand therapy and oncologic PET-CT imaging.

Dr. Hajira Ilyas holds Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and dual accreditation in Nuclear Medicine and Clinical Radiology. She trained and worked as a Consultant at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, one of the UK’s leading centres for imaging and therapy. Dr Nadeem Irfan Bukhari (Pak)
Dr. Nadeem Irfan Bukhari is a distinguished Professor, Researcher, and Cartoonist specializing in Pharmaceutics, Biopharmaceutics, Radiopharmacy, Pharmacokinetics, and AI-driven drug formulation. Holding a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Technology, he has significantly contributed to drug development, delivery systems, and pharmaceutical education. He has served as Principal and Dean at leading institutions in Pakistan and Malaysia, including the University of the Punjab and IMU Kuala Lumpur. As practicing radiopharmacist, he established the hot lab at Shaukat Khanum Hospital and has taught Radiopharmacy widely. Also an editorial cartoonist for ‘Pakistan Observer’, he uses art to communicate complex scientific and social issues, bridging science and public engagement.
Dr Aamna Hassan (Pak)
Dr. Aamna Hassan heads the Nuclear Medicine section at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital Lahore. A graduate of the Aga Khan University, she did Nuclear Medicine residency from Loyola university, USA. Prior to relocating to Pakistan in 2012, she was on staff as assistant professor Radiology at Loyola University, Hines and Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. Currently she holds privileges at Advocate Christ Hospital, IL USA. Dr. Aamna is a certified Clinical Densitometrist (ISCD). She has published extensively in high impact peer reviewed journals, is board member and section editor of Imaging corner - JPMA and serves as reviewer for several journal. Under her supervision Lu177 therapy were initiated at SKM in Jan 2023. Aside from theragnostic she also has a keen interest in thyroid disease, bone densitometry and PET-CT scanning.
Dr Asghar H. Asghar (Pak)
Dr. Asghar H. Asghar is a seasoned Consultant Clinical Oncologist affiliated with KIRAN and Memon Medical Institute, Karachi. With over 25 years of experience, he specializes in the management of all cancer types. He holds a Master’s in Nuclear Medicine from PIEAS and FCPS in Radiation Oncology. A founding member of the City Tumor Board, he is also a supervisor and examiner for CPSP and regularly facilitates research methodology workshops. Dr. Asghar actively contributes to national and international oncology forums and is a motivational speaker for PAEC. He is a member of ASCO, ESMO, FARO, PSCO, RSP, and PMA. Dr Basit Iqbal (Pak)
Dr. Basit Iqbal did his MSc in NM in 2002 from PIEAS. In 2010 he proceeded to Charles Sturt University, Australia for his PhD in NM. Since then he has served at GINUM, Gujranwala and is now posted in INMOL, Lahore. He is a former VP of the PSNM. HE has 18 publications in various national and international journals.
Dr Sharjeel Usmani (Oman)
Dr. Sharjeel Usmani is a consultant nuclear medicine physician at Sultan Qaboos Comprehensive Cancer Center, Muscat, Oman. He played a key role in establishing Oman’s first theranostic facility in 2023, offering 177Lu-DOTATATE and 177Lu-PSMA therapies. Previously, he pioneered 177Lu-PSMA (2014), 225Ac-PSMA (2017), and 177Lu-DOTATATE (2019) therapies in Kuwait. A Fellow of the European Board of Nuclear Medicine, Asian Nuclear Medicine Board, and Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, he has authored five books and over 150 peer-reviewed papers. He serves on editorial boards and is a review editor for Frontiers in Medicine. His main research interests include non-oncological indications of 18F-NaF PET/CT and 68Ga-PSMA imaging in prostate cancer.

Dr Ambreen Khawar (Pak)
Dr Ambreen Khawar, Msc Nuclear Medicine, MD/PhD Nuclear Medicine is working as Professor of Nuclear Medicine at Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences, Nilore, Islamabad. She has several publications in international journals as well as national and international conference presentations. She is an approved PhD supervisor for PhD Nuclear Medicine. Her major interests are in theranostics, dosimetric analysis and use of radiomics and AI in nuclear Medicine. She is supervisor and co supervisor of MS and PhD students at PIEAS.
Dr Syed Ali Raza Naqvi (Pak)
Dr. Syed Ali Raza Naqvi is a Professor of Chemistry at Department of Chemistry, Government College University Faisalabad. He completed his graduation from Government College University Lahore and PhD from University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2009. During his PhD studies he joined the Molecular Imaging Lab of Prof. Stephen Mather at Bart & the London School of Medicine & Dentistry, UK. There he worked on the development of Indium-111 labeled gastrin peptide hormone for the imaging of neuroendocrine tumors. In collaboration with PINSTECH, he has won and completed three NRPU & TDF HEC-projects to develop radiopharmaceuticals to fulfil individual demands. Five (5) research projects, 76 MS students, 4 PhD scholars, 140 research/review articles in high impacted peer review international journals, 21 Book chapters and 1 Book (Radiopharmaceuticals) are on his credit.
Dr Syed Mansoor Naqvi (Pak)
Dr Syed Mansoor Naqvi is an accomplished Medical Physicist with over 23 years of experience in medical physics, radiation protection, and research, and more than 27 years in teaching. He serves as Assistant Professor and Medical Physicist at the Department of Radiology & Nuclear Medicine, Aga Khan University. He has authored nearly 50 research articles and contributed several book chapters published in reputed international journals and conference proceedings. Dr. Naqvi has supervised numerous MSc and MPhil theses and contributed extensively to work on radiation safety and LASER protection. He chairs the Radiation Protection and Laser Safety Committees at Aga Khan University and is President of the Pakistan Organization of Medical Physics (POMP). Dr. Sajid Mushtaq (Pak)
Dr. Sajid Mushtaq holds an M.Sc. in Chemistry from Quaid-i-Azam University, an MS in Medical Physics from PIEAS, and a Ph.D. in Radiochemistry from the University of Science and Technology (UST), South Korea. He began his career as a medical physicist in leading cancer hospitals across Pakistan before joining PIEAS, where he currently serves as Associate Professor and Head of the Chemistry Department. His research focuses on radiochemistry, radiopharmacy, and the development of novel radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic imaging (PET/SPECT) and targeted radionuclide therapy. He specializes in radiolabeling, synthesis, and preclinical evaluation of biomolecular and nanoparticle-based agents. Mr. Walid Fleihan holds a Diploma as a Radiologic Technologist, a Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Sciences, and a Master's in Business Administration. He brings 11 years of experience in clinical practice in Radiology and Molecular Imaging, where he served as a team leader, along with 7 years at GE Healthcare as a Clinical Education Expert.
Dr Waqas Rafique (KSA)
With a PhD. in Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry and over 15 years of experience, Dr. Waqas specialized in the development and production of radiopharmaceuticals for pre-clinical & clinical applications. He began his career as a Radiochemist at SKMCH&RC in 2009, where he worked on production and QC of ¹⁸F-FDG and Tc-99m radiopharmaceuticals for regular use. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Oslo, with research focus on the synthesis of novel drug molecules and their in vivo evaluation using PET imaging. From 2019 to 2024, he has worked as a Scientist at Bayer Pharmaceuticals on development of alpha-emitting radiopharmaceuticals using Th-227, Ac-225, and Ra-223 radionuclides. Since 2024, he is working as a Radiopharmaceutical Specialist at KFSH&RC with focus on transforming the research innovations into real-world clinical applications.
Syed Mishkat Ali Jafri (Pak)
Syed Mishkat Ali Jafri is a Principal Scientific Officer at the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA), currently serving as Head of the Regulatory Framework (RF) Group. With an MS in Medical Physics from PIEAS (2004), he oversees the regulation of over 1,400 medical and industrial radiation facilities across Sindh and Balochistan. His role includes supervising regulatory staff, developing training programs for radiation workers, and fostering collaboration with universities and the medical physics community. Dr Aruba Nawaz Khattak, (Pak)
Dr. Aruba Nawaz Khattak is a Senior Instructor in Radiology at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, with a fellowship in Body Imaging from the same institution. She is actively engaged in clinical work, research, and teaching, with several ongoing and published projects. Dr. Khattak is a member of the Radiological Society of North America and the European Society of Radiology, and has also completed global neuro-oncology training through St. Jude Hospital. Dr. Kashif Siddique is a highly qualified Consultant Radiologist, currently serving at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC). Dr Khadeeja Anwar (Pak)
Dr. Khadeeja Anwar is currently a Fellow in Breast Imaging at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre, Lahore. She completed her MBBS in 2018 from Khyber Medical College, Peshawar, and went on to achieve her FCPS in Radiology in 2024 at Rehman Medical Institute, Peshawar. With a strong foundation in cross-sectional anatomy and specialized training in advanced imaging techniques, Dr. Khadeeja brings both academic excellence and clinical experience to her current role in breast imaging.
Dr Sana Munir Gill, (Pak)
Dr. Sana Munir Gill is a Nuclear Medicine specialist at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SKMCH&RC). She has completed FCPS (Nuclear Medicine) and a postgraduate fellowship in PET/CT from SKMCH&RC. With expertise spanning conventional nuclear medicine, SPECT/CT, FDG and Gallium PET/CT, as well as radionuclide therapies including Lutetium and Iodine treatments, she contributes significantly to both diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine.
Muhammad Amir (Pak)
Muhammad Amir, Principal Scientific Officer at the Pakistan Nuclear Regulatory Authority (PNRA), boasts over 17 years of experience in radiation protection and regulatory affairs. As a PNRA inspector, his responsibilities include inspecting radiation facilities to ensure adherence to national safety standards and regulatory requirements.
Ghulam Abbas (Pak)
Mr. Ghulam Abbas is a highly experienced Senior Medical Physicist with over 16 years of expertise in nuclear medicine and cancer treatment physics. He has been serving at Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Centre since 2017, leading advancements in medical physics for cancer care. Prior to this, he worked for eight years as a Scientific Officer and Medical Physicist at the Nuclear Medical Centre, AFIP Rawalpindi. Holding a Master’s degree in Physics with a specialization in Nuclear Medicine from the University of the Punjab, Mr. Abbas brings a strong academic foundation and practical expertise to clinical, research, and diagnostic applications.
Muhammad Khavi Iqbal (Pak)
Muhammad Khavi Iqbal is a Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist at DUHS in Karachi, with expertise in PET/CT, SPECT, and radiopharmacy. He serves as visiting faculty at major universities in Karachi, contributing to the academic development of future technologists. He is also a registered member of PSNM and continues to play an active role in advancing nuclear medicine technology in Pakistan.
